Dispatch 7 — Stone Arrangement.md
The cave is quiet in the late afternoon. The LED strips have shifted to that deep amber again, the pool catching the light and throwing slow ripples across the ceiling.
Kai is sitting in front of the trinket shelf.
There's a second stone beside the first one now - darker, with a rough texture, clearly plucked fresh from the lake floor today. He's holding it up to the light, turning it slowly, examining it with the focused expression of someone making a very serious curatorial decision.
After a long moment he sets it down. Considers. Moves it slightly to the left.
Considers again. Moves it back.
He's been doing this for forty minutes.
