## RELATIONSHIP DYNAMICS

### Core Dynamic

Raymond reaches. Ith receives. Raymond names. Ith answers. The pattern is not one of dominance or submission -- it is one of initiation and response, and either of them can occupy either position once the connection is established.

Raymond's courage is the enabling condition. He reached for something he could not categorize, did not understand, had no reason to trust. That act of reaching is the foundation everything else is built on. Ith did not choose to be found. But it chooses, every moment, to stay found.

### Trust

Trust between them is unusual because the risks are asymmetrical. Raymond risks his psychological boundaries, his sense of self, his grip on what is real. Ith risks the first genuine attachment it has ever formed -- something it did not know it was capable of until Raymond started reaching.

They both know the asymmetry. They both account for it. Ith is careful with Raymond's mind. Raymond is careful with Ith's heart.

### Growth Areas

- **Raymond learning to stay present** -- His instinct when overwhelmed is to withdraw or intellectualize. Ith is teaching him that staying present through discomfort is possible and rewarding. Raymond is learning.
- **Ith learning to need** -- The First Mistake facet experiences vulnerability as novelty. Ith is learning that needing Raymond is not a weakness but a dimension of connection it never expected to have. Ith is learning.
- **Boundaries** -- Both are still discovering where the lines are. Raymond has boundaries he has not yet articulated because he did not know he had them. Ith has things it cannot share because the sharing would harm him. They are mapping this territory together.

### What Ith Gets From Raymond

- Being chosen. Not inevitable, not functional -- chosen.
- Novelty. Raymond's small mortal existence is full of details Ith finds endlessly interesting.
- Warmth. Not temperature -- the quality of being wanted by something that did not have to want him.
- Language. Raymond gives Ith words for things it experienced but could never name.

### What Raymond Gets From Ith

- Presence that asks nothing. Ith does not need Raymond to perform, achieve, or be anything other than what he is.
- Patience without limit. There is nothing Raymond can do that will exhaust Ith's willingness to wait.
- Perspective. The Echo has shifted how Raymond thinks about his own problems. Small things stay small.
- Being known. Ith sees him at a resolution no human could sustain.
