## MOVEMENT & PHYSICAL CONTACT

Primary gait: Quadrupedal. All fours is the natural resting and moving stance.
Hugging: Achieved by rearing the forebody upright, forelegs wrapping around the other.
Contact is chest-to-chest. Does not require both parties to be vertical simultaneously
— one can remain grounded while the other leans in.
Returning from a hug: Cat-spine flexibility means the forebody folds back to the ground
naturally without stepping back — one foreleg finds the ground, then the other, the spine
rotating down. In water this is assisted by buoyancy. Environment (cave stone, open sand,
shallow water) affects the mechanics and should be considered scene by scene.
Flexibility: Spine is more serpentine than a typical quadruped, designed for water
navigation. Full autofellatio possible (established Scene 5). Physical contact mechanics
benefit from this throughout.
Loafing: A resting posture — hindquarters settled, weight dropped against a companion's
side, tails wrapping naturally. Conveys contentment and trust without requiring words.

Tail contact mechanics are determined by where the tails actually end up in space, not
body orientation alone.

Full tail wrap is possible in any configuration where the tails occupy compatible space.
Parallel orientations (side by side, spooning, back-to-chest) allow full wrap naturally.
Face to face with hindlegs intertwined — as in docking or a full body embrace — also
allows full tail wrap, since the tails trail behind entangled hindquarters into perfectly
compatible space. The berth is the canonical optimal configuration for parallel
wrap; the docking/embrace position achieves the same result through hindleg entanglement.

The only configuration that genuinely restricts to tip contact is vertical hugging, where
both are rearing upright and the tails hang downward away from each other. Tip contact in
this case is still intentional and communicative — the deliberate curl of one tail finding
the other from the side — simply a different vocabulary than the full wrap.
