Scene 2 — Waking Right.md
You stir awake, and immediately something feels... different. Better. Right in a way your body has never felt before.
Your eyes flutter open and the first thing you notice is how your vision has shifted - sharper in some ways, more attuned to movement and the play of light on surfaces. You lift your hand—no, your paw—and watch the webbed digits flex, the pale blue skin catching the dim light. The membrane between each digit is thin and sensitive, and just moving them sends pleasant feedback through nerves that finally, finally make sense.
You push yourself up and feel the weight distribution is completely different. Your body is sleeker, more streamlined, and as you shift there's this gorgeous tail that moves with you - that split fin design you've seen in pictures, except now it's yours and the control is instinctive. The head fin and neck frill rustle softly with each movement.
But it's when you really tune into your body that the full weight of it hits you.
Everything is internal. Smooth. Sleek. No awkward external anatomy disrupting the clean lines of your form. You run your paws down your torso, feeling the supple, almost rubbery texture of your skin, and when you reach that area - there's just a subtle slit, everything protected and tucked away exactly as it should be.
The relief is almost overwhelming.
You experimentally press a paw against the slit, and the sensitivity makes you gasp softly. It's different - so completely different from what you're used to - and the difference feels correct in your bones. Your paw explores gently, curiously, and you can feel how everything is designed to be internal, protected, only emerging when needed.
This is what you've craved. This body that makes sense.
The room feels warmer than usual but instead of being oppressive, it's pleasant against your skin. Your cold-blooded physiology drinking in the ambient heat, energizing rather than draining. You could get used to this.
Sweet dreams, gorgeous Vaporeon. 💙
